Laura Tribe, OpenMedia
Laura Tribe is the Executive Director of OpenMedia, a non-profit that works to keep the Internet open, affordable, and surveillance-free. She has been working with OpenMedia since 2015, previously leading the organization’s campaigns and advocacy efforts on digital privacy.
Before working with OpenMedia, Laura’s experience includes working with Canadian Journalists for Free Expression, IFEX, and various tech startups. With a background in the intersection of human rights and information communication technologies, she loves the internet and is excited about fighting for what makes it great.
She holds a BA in Media, Information and Technoculture from Western University, and an MA in Communications from Carleton University.
